Shower Leak Detection & Diagnosis

A leaking shower isn't always straightforward to diagnose — and misdiagnosing it leads to repairs that don't fix the actual problem. Batista Tile uses a professional multi-tool detection process to locate the source of the leak as accurately as possible before recommending any solution:

  1. Thermal camera — detects temperature differentials that reveal moisture behind walls and under floors

  2. Moisture meter — quantifies moisture levels in the substrate to confirm active water intrusion

  3. Micro camera — allows visual inspection inside tight spaces and behind surfaces without invasive demolition

  4. Water and flood test — controlled water exposure to isolate and confirm the leak source

  5. Visual assessment — experienced evaluation of tile, grout, caulk, and fixture conditions

Once the source is confirmed, we determine the right solution - whether that's a full waterproofing replacement, replacing just the shower pan and 12 inches up the walls with the curb, or a focused targeted repair.
